Pattern's Learning Forward core value is the idea of continuously improving ourselves and everything around us. We dedicate a lot of time to cutting waste and making improvements to our systems and processes.

However, one thing we often overlook is 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀. All of us, to some degree, allow distractions to 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱 in to our work day.

I bet you could name your top 3 distractions at work right now. Try it! No, really, write them down now and be honest.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
• Stunt your potential

• Slow your progress
• Stop your growth
• Steal your time
• Discourage your teammates
• REDUCE YOUR WORK THAT MATTERS

Out of all of the wastes we should eliminate for our team to go to the next level, distractions should be #1. The cost for you and your team is too high to allow ourselves to be distracted.

So, from your list of 3 distractions (that I know you wrote down just a moment ago), what is 1 action you could enact today to eliminate a wasteful distraction?
