I'm the co-founder and CEO of Pattern, an independent insurance brokerage that helps physicians compare and buy disability and life insurance. We've helped more than 50,000 doctors understand their disability and life insurance options.
I also write MoneyRx, a free newsletter about money for doctors, and post short videos on the same ideas.
What I keep seeing
Doctors spend a decade or more in training. Then the income jumps almost overnight. That's a huge advantage. It can also hide a lot of mistakes.
In my experience, most of the problems aren't about knowing too little. They come from having no simple plan when the big paycheck shows up.
